On Saturday January 15th, the River City High School Robotics Team participated in their first robotics competition, the Bay Area Regional Robotics challenge that was held at Bellarmine College Preparatory School in San Jose. The River City “vtechrangers” and their “Tri-Bot” were the 2nd highest scoring robotic team out of 51 high school robotic teams.
The C-STEM Center provides a mechanism for collaboration between undergraduate/graduate students at UC Davis and local K-12 school clubs such as the River City High School Robotics Team. Undergraduate/graduate students at the C-STEM Center provided advice and support to Dubarrie Fagout, the teacher advisor, and his robtoics team. Everyone is amazed at the accomplishments of the team and look forward to what is possible from them in the future.
