June 2 – Sandra Soto, 5th Grade Teacher, Cambridge Elementary, Travis Unified School District
When I first started using C-STEM with elementary school students, some people told me it was too hard, that the kids were too young. As I began using the program, I have proven them wrong. Through C-STEM, my students have learned computer coding in Ch/C/C++ even as young as fourth grade. In this webinar, I will share my experience on how I’ve used C-STEM to teach math, science and art. I’ve taken 5th and 6th grade students to the RoboPlay Challenge Competition and they have both loved and grown by such wonderful experience. In addition, my after school group have developed videos for RoboPlay Video Competition and have demonstrated their ability to write, code, produce, and edit a finished product.
