On March 15, 2014, the C-STEM Center presented the NCWIT Northern California Affiliate Awards to 12 young women in high school that have shown outstanding achievement and aspirations in computing in Kemper Hall on the UC Davis campus. These young women have been acknowledged for their skills in computing and IT aptitude. Overall, the winning girls had a good experience getting together and creating new connections with each other. The NCWIT Educator Award was presented to Aimee Staats from St. Francis High School for her excellent work in inspiring female students in pursuing computer related careers.
