Install C-STEM Studio and Curriculum By District IT Staff

For Windows and Mac machines, the following software packages will need to be installed for computer labs of C-STEM Schools for their 2021-2022 implementation:

  • Linkbot Labs 3.0.3 (C-STEM Studio is included in Linkbot Labs v3 and above)
  • C-STEM Curriculum
  • Teaching Resources (For teachers only with PPTs and solutions)

The first software package is available here (https://roboblockly.com/download/) in .exe, .msi, and .pkg format. They can choose either format to install but please follow the instruction on the download page for each installation format.  You can also install these packages remotely.

C-STEM Curriculum is restricted only to paying C-STEM Schools. To access the file for C-STEM Curriculum you will need to create an IT account on our website and log in (more information below). Teaching resources is for C-STEM teachers to install on their own (more information here). Please make sure the software packages are installed in the order list above.

For Chromebooks, IT staff can install the software follow the “Chromebook” section in this link https://www.barobo.com/downloads.

District IT Staff Sign-in as C-STEM IT Staff to Download and Install C-STEM Curriculum

To access the installation file for C-STEM Curriculum you will need to have an IT account on our website. Please make sure to go to our website (http://c-stem.ucdavis.edu) and register for a free account. If you have registered previously, you can use your existing account. Once you have registered please send us an email at orders@c-stem.ucdavis.edu with your username (so we can upgrade your account).

Once the account is upgraded as a C-STEM IT Staff, the user can download the most updated C-STEM software by following the steps below.

  • log in to http://c-stem.ucdavis.edu
  • click Registered Users Subsite in the top right
  • Click “Downloads by IT Staff for Programs in the Textbooks” on the left side of the screen
  • Choose the right format to download

If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know at support@c-stem.ucdavis.edu. The teachers cc’ed in this email need access to the software.  Please coordinate with these teachers and principals to identify which computers will be utilized.
