The K-12 Alliance of the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) seeks to increase the number of girls who study computing at the K-12 level by improving the image and teaching of computing. The K-12 Alliance leverages the efforts of multiple groups to address fundamental issues of inequity in the representation of girls in computing, and will ensure that computing is established as a critical skillset for the twenty-first century. The C-STEM Center will work with other K-12 Alliance Members to inspire girls in K-12 schools to pursue computing and computing-related STEM careers and post-secondary study. The C-STEM Center will host regional NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing for high-school female students.
