Director Harry Cheng gave a keynote speech at the California Mathematics Network, formerly the Algebra Forum, with more than 200 math educators, titled “Integrating Computing and Robotics into Algebra Education with CCSS-M to Close the Achievement Gap.” The California Mathematics Network is a collaborative effort among the California Department of Education, the county offices statewide Curriculum and Instruction Steering Committee (CISC), the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA), the California Comprehensive Center at WestEd, the California Mathematics Council (CMC), the California Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (CAMTE), and the California Mathematics Project (CMP).
