School counselors gathered at the UC Davis Conference Center on Saturday March 17 for the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Counselors for Computing (C4C) Workshop on how to advise K-12 students interested in careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The UC Davis Center for Integrated Computing and STEM Education (C-STEM) invited partner teachers and students to talk about their experiences, especially in encouraging female students and other underrepresented groups into science and engineering, and provide demonstrations of how UC Davis students are using STEM. The workshop was jointly organized by NCWIT, the California Association of School Counselors (CASC), and the UC Davis C-STEM Center.
