On October 08, 2011 students from the C-STEM Center travelled to California State Univeristy at Sacramento for the Expand Your Horizons Event for middle-school girls to introduce them to science and technology. The presentation started with demos of programming and how the girls can use programming to help with learning algebra. Next the iMobot modular robot was demoed to the students. The Mobot was shown and played with by many of the students. The event is sponsored by a seed grant to the Computing and Robotics Outreach Club at UC Davis from the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT).
