2012 UC Davis CREST Workshop on Transformative Computing and STEM Education with Common Core Standards

On August 9, the UC Davis CREST Fellows presented their work from their summer on the UC Davis campus as part of the C-STEM Center’s CREST program. “Computing Research Experiences for STEM Teachers” (CREST), a National Science Foundation’s Fellowship program, brings a dedicated team of regional middle and secondary Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) teachers to collaborate with UC Davis faculty to produce an engaging, hands-on curriculum specifically for math, computing, robotics, and technology. This innovative approach was presented to school faculty and administrators to encourage the adoption of the curricula.
