Puma 560 Robotic Manipulator
Donated by: Unmanned Solutions
Description:
The Puma 560 Robotic Manipulator is a six degree of freedom
mechanism capable of reaching any point in its sphere of
operation from any trajectory. The six degrees of freedom
are control by six servo motor consisting of a brushed DC
motor coupled with a 500-1000 count 3 channel encoder and
a potiometer. One of the unique features of this robot
is ability to determine its global postion from the given
feedback information.
Current Reseach
As of now, the Puma 560 has been interfaced to the
Delta Tau Programmable Multi-Axis Control Board (PMAC).
My intention is to control the robot locally
using the inhouse control software packages that are
currently being developed. I also intend to control
the robot over the World Wide Web using CGI/HTML programming.
Operations are currently underway to establish a net server
to serve as a host for remote users.
