Testing of the LBDS

Figure 1: Field Testing

Field testing tests the system's ability under a real environment. Results from field testing are displayed on the Field Testing page.

Figure 2: Roof Testing

Roof testing tests the systems ability to detect a passing vehicle and calculate the vehicle's speed and length. This is done by attaching the LBDS to the roof of Bainer Hall and driving a car underneath the system.

There are three modes of testing for the LBDS: indoor testing, roof testing, and field testing.

Figure 3: Indoor Testing

The indoor testing is mainly used to test to see if the system is functioning properly. This is done within the Integration Engineering Laboratory (IEL).
